I get to spend some time with one of the best new webcomic artists out there these days, Adam Huber of the utterly brilliant “Bug.” “Bug” is old school funny, amazingly simple in it’s design and art, but obviously drawn by someone with a deep grasp of cartooning. It’s a great hybrid of single panel humor and a four-panel format, and is consistently funny…most of the time funny several times inside each strip! We talk about his process, his influences, and how webcomic freedom differs from the world of syndication. Come and learn about “Bug,” and jump on the bandwagon now!

Thanks, Tom, for interviewing one of the funniest cartoonists working today. I’ve been on the “Bug” bandwagon since the beginning, and I’m still amazed at how consistently funny it is, five days a week. More laughs per strip than should be allowed by law.
Agreed. This comic is definitely one of the funniest out there right now, sprinting out of the starting blocks. I look forward to listening to this podcast tonight after I blonk my family on the heads to get them to go to sleep.
Curses, my office blocks Bug. But, I read it on my phone and it looks fantastic! Thanks Tom for interviewing Adam and turning me on to another great webcomic!
Great interview. When new cartoonists lament that there’s nothing new to do and that it’s impossible to gain an audience with so many webcartoonists competing for eyeballs, I just have to point to Bug. A great example that quality writing can bring in an audience.
Also, I was interested to hear that Adam had a previous webcomic. Is there a URL available?
I probably shouldn’t do this, as I find my early work rather embarrassing. My first webcomic can be found here:

I TOTALLY meant to talk about your previous webcomic, but we went off on other topics. Thanks for posting this, man….there’s a lot of really good stuff in there! “So you want him to look like Rob Schnieder?” “Exactly! Go fetch his skin!” Brilliant!
I’m so happy I found this comic- you deserve all the recognition you’re getting and then some.
Hooraaaaay!
Adam:
I LOVE Bug! Glad Tom was able to do that interview and introduce me to your work! I’ve had better mornings ever since!
Tom:
AWESOME interview, and I agree, we need to comment more, man!
Thanks for highlighting this strip – I’ve added it to my RSS reader.
