This is a jam-packed episode, folks! Pam Harrison of the amazing “House of the Muses” joins me for a talk on doing a 3D comic, Greek culture and translation, lesbian poetry, and a wide-ranging group of topics! She’s 5 1/2 books into a nine-book series, and if you want a gripping story set in a classical time, you’ve got to read this one!  (I apologize for the sound on my voice track…there was an unexpected hiss, and the sound quality isn’t what I’m used to putting out…I’ll figure it out before the next one!)

Then I have a report from Wondercon in San Francisco, that took place on April 1-3rd. The ever-versatile Jonathan Lemon of “Rabbits Against Magic” plays roving reporter as we checked in on the phone to see what was up. Justin Thompson of “Mythtickle” was there with his very first table selling his very first book. (Buy it here!) And we caught up with the artist/writer of the newest Kid Beowulf book, “The Song of Roland,” Mr. Lex Fajardo. We also talk with his publisher at Bowler Hat Comics, and learn some interesting things about what publishers are looking for when they meet you at a Con.

Tall Tall Radio is proud to do a co-podcast with the boys over at Comics Coast to Coast this week.  Filling in for Brian Dunaway, I take Justin “Mythtickle” Thompson and John “Chippy and Loopus” Sanford on a discussion deep into the realms of mythology. Joining us is the writer and artist behind “Kid Beowulf,” Lex Fajardo. Tall Tale Radio is proud to present the first official podcast with newest TTFer, Jonathan Lemon of the brilliant “Rabbits Against Magic.” Mike Witmer of “Pinkerton” fame joins us for the first part of the interview to chat with Lemon about his work, and then he and I go off on our merry way, talking about Proust, RC Harvey, English football, American baseball, and a little bit of everything.  We even utterly rip off James Lipton and “Inside the Actor’s Studio” so join me in welcoming Mr. Lemon to our little cult!

Lemon stuck his foot in the door to Tall Tale Features a while back by playing roving reporter for Tall Tale Radio on more than one occasion (you can find those episodes next to his name on this list). Apparently, no amount of slamming would get him to remove that foot, so we figured we might as well just let him in. As it turns out, we are all very honored to have him on the team and feel he’s going to be a great addition to the site.

It’s the UK vs. the US! No, I’m not talking about Round One of the World Cup…that’s not until next June!  Darren Rolfe, Mac guru, cartoonist, and all around great guy, and Jonathan Lemon of the wonderful “Rabbits Against Magic” join me for a talk about comics in the UK, the differences in humor between our two countries, and lots and lots of Monty Python!

Roving Tall Tale Radio reporter and master cartoonist Jonathan Lemon returns! Lemon headed off to the Alternative Press Expo (APE) up in San Francisco last week, and snagged interviews with the likes of Ted Rall, Keith Knight, Shannon Wheeler, Stephanie McMillan, Paige Braddock and Lex Fajardo, along with several others!  Lemon always classes up the joint with his charm and sex-ayyy accent, and as the brilliant mind behind “Rabbits Against Magic,” he knows what questions to ask.  There’s great stuff in here from some of the best in the biz up at one of the coolest conventions around.  Take a listen, and be sure to check out “Rabbits Against Magic” over at Go Comics!, as well as his always funny and insightful blog!

The brilliant artist and writer behind “Rabbits Against Magic,” Jonathan Lemon, plays roving reporter for Tall Tale Radio as he attends one of the opening events of San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum’s newest installation, “The Monsters of Webcomics.” This particular event was honoring Nicholas Gurewich, the mad genius artist of “The Perry Bible Fellowship.” He’s moving on to other projects, but Mr. Gurewich has an amazing hardcover compiliation of his work, and was there at the museum to talk about his work.  Jonathan gets interviews from several people of the general public who were there, a recording of the Q&A session with Nicholas Gurewich, and a great wrap up interview with Cartoon Art Museum curator, Andrew Farago, (interviewed by yours truly here), and the talented Shaenon Garrity of “Skin Horse” and “Narbonic.“
